The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival was held on May 7th and 8th at the Howard County Fairgrounds. Attendees could view sheering and yarn spinning demonstrations or watch the competition at the lamb show. Vendors offered a range of items from raw wool and pelts to yarn to finished products such as shawls and other clothing. Other items for sale included fine art and home made wares such as ceramic pendants, wall art, and drawer knobs. When hungry, attendees could stop by any of the food vendors throughout the fairgrounds for refreshment. Music was everywhere, from scheduled performances to impromptu jam sessions.
