Snowfall at night and Domino Sugars sign, Riverside Park, Baltimore, Maryland

Snowfall at night can be an intensely dramatic experience, so it needs a counter weight to avoid overwhelming the composition. To balance out the monochrome heaviness of the snow and park atmosphere, I used the street lamps to guide the viewer’s eye down the sidewalk to the Domino Sugars sign. The sign felt like a beacon in the wilderness, uplifting the viewer’s eye and the mood of the composition.
