St Mary Star of the Sea church steeple and solar eclipse, Baltimore, Maryland

While I’ve never tried to shoot an eclipse, that didn’t stop me from jumping on the bandwagon. Baltimore wasn’t in the path of totality, but I think it was something like 89%. As a result, there was still a wonderfully eerie darkening of the sky during the event. I wanted to add some context so this shot includes the steeple of St Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church. I thought the steeple silhouette looked almost like a castle turret, creating a haunted feel to the image.
