Empty, MD State Fair, Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland

I’d entered the MD State Fair very early one morning and was making my way to the horse show ring. As I was passing the amusement rides and concession stands, I was struck by the complete absence of people. I like this shot because it’s at complete odds to one’s _expectation_ of a fair; i.e. a bustling crowd of people. The eye strains to find another human being but finds none.
