A Brown-belted Bumble Bee (Bombus griseocollis) flies toward Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), Baltimore, Maryland

While monarch butterflies are commonly associated with milkweed, you may be surprised to learn that it’s a food source for a variety of other insects.
