City Hall Dome, Baltimore, Maryland

This image shows a portion of the 227 foot tall cast iron dome. Designed by architect George Frederick, Baltimore City Hall was built 1867-1875. This building displays various characteristics of Second Empire architecture such as ornamentation, mansard roof, and shown here, a central tower with clock.
